William joined techfortrade as founding Chief Executive in February 2011. Prior to his appointment, he spent 7 years as Chief Executive of Technology Trust, a UK based social enterprise and charity. His previous career includes over 25 years in senior roles in the Financial Services and technology sectors, including payments services and mobile and fixed line telecoms businesses. He is also Chair of trustees of a London Youth Enterprise Charity and a board member of Warsaw based Fundacja TechSoup. Together with Australian academic Thomas Birtchnell William has recently written “3D Printing for Development in the Global South’” which has just been published by Palgrave Macmillan.
