Keith Hearon is co-founder and CEO of Poly6, an MIT born startup that uses 3D printing to enable advanced manufacturing in aerospace and biotechnology industries. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Robert Langer’s group at MIT until 2016, when he joined Poly6 full time. Keith’s invention Citrene®, a high-performance plastic made from citrus peels, received international recognition in 2014 and was selected as a finalist invention at the 2014 U.S. Collegiate Inventors Competition. He has 15+ patents pending or issued in materials science and biotechnology, and serves on the external advisory board of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech.
