BIO

Juan Nicolás is a Colombian entrepreneur, who was chosen among 18.2 million people around the world to work with Sir. Richard Branson after winning the contest “Mission Branson” in New York. In 2012, he was nominated as one of the most important entrepreneurs on the B-Team in New York, a global nonprofit initiative co-founded by Jochen Zeitz and Richard Branson that brings together international CEOs and business leaders. Juan Nicolás worked as a premier relationship manager at HSBC Bank, and in the same year he arrived, he won “One Big Month”—the bank’s most valuable award—a regional campaign in Latin America that only allows the very best to compete. Juan Nicolás set a company record by consecutively winning this prestigious award twice. He was invited as a keynote speaker on Campus Party, where he talked about“Simple Life”, a talk that helped entrepreneurs to get motivated and know how tokeep moving forward in this busy world. Juan Nicolás established Petroservices as one of the best oil companies in the south of Colombia, co-created a bacteria that could eat oil spilled on rocks or grass and founded “Medical Store” to transform health services’, improve quality of life for people and to sell more affordable and better medicine. He also developed two apps, one called “Alloo” that changes how people communicate with others by breaking language barriers, and the other one named “Clog” that shows another alternative for transportation in big cities. Currently, he’s focusing his time on “Alloo” and “Clog” and has been creating a demand before the product is ready for the market. In two months, he is expecting to launch “Clog” in Colombia, Peru, Chile, Brazil, and Mexico.
