David Proto is both an artist and designer. Since 2009, he has been an active contributer to enmedio.info, a website dedicated to the research of contemporary artistic practices related to politics, aesthetics, and new technologies. His training in art history, network theory, and his passion for ICT have led him to pursue several projects in the field of social networks and decentralized communities. He is Founder and strategist of the cultural association Memetro.net, which dedicated to the research and creation of collaborative tools to promote the right to mobility in urban spaces. He also teaches courses and workshops on Creative Apptivism for social groups. At the same time, he is co-founder of Comandosuricato.com, a multimedia design company specialized in the development of blockchain projects like Robotunion.org – a social network of robot exchange and automated work where collective intelligence systems are expressed in a network with the aim of educating and fighting for the recognition of the social and labor rights of new forms of life created through artificial intelligence. Currently, he is working on a decentralized platform for digital content registration and distribution, through the development of Creativechain.org, which works to certify the authorship and license of any collective work or creation.
