Daniel Perciante is a Doctor in Electrical Engineering by the University of the Republic in Montevideo, Uruguay. He is a half-time professor and researcher at the Catholic University of Uruguay in applied sciences to engineering. He is co-founder and CEO of Nettra, the enterprise Smart-Wells operates under. Smart-Wells is a remote monitoring platform for the early detection of failures in water extraction facilities. It allows for the control of the aquifer-well-pump system, detecting failures in time to avoid critical problems that can lead to the interruption of water supply. It places sensors in the wells and on the control boards, gives access to the data generated by the system and offers periodic reports accompanied by expert counseling for the sustainable use of the water and infrastructure.
