Maureen Berho is a Sociologist from the University of Chile. She is Co-Founder and General Manager of Niebla Games, a company that develops videogames in Valparaíso, Chile. Between 2016 and 2018, she was part of the Board of Directors of the Association of VideoGame Developers of Chile, VG Chile. Niebla Games projects have received support from multiple public and private institutions, such as Corfo, the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, and ProChile; and they have been selected in relevant international exhibitions, such as the Indie MEGABOOTH of PAX East and PAX West 2018; the Indie Showcase of PAX East 2018; Busan Indie Connect Festival 2018; and Tokyo Game Show 2018. Maureen was named by newspaper El Mercurio as one the 100 Young Leaders of 2016; awarded the InspiraTEC Award (2016) for women in technology by the Ministry of Economy of the Government of Chile; and won second place of the Young Entrepreneur Award (2017) of the Women Entrepreneurs Foundation. She has collaborated as Ambassador of the Dove and UN Women Chile Self-esteem Program, and as an ambassador for the videogame sector for the campaign "Ask for Chile, A World of Services" of the Foundation Imagen de Chile.
